PIANO FOR EWART HOSPITAL
The Boys' Institute Orchestra has on several occasions rendered a programme of music for the benefit of the patients in tho Ewart Hospital for tho boys ascertained that, tho hospital was not in possession of a piano, or musio of any kind, except that provided by -visiting musicians, and thoy determined to raise sufficient money to purchase a piano. In three weeks the boys of the Institute havo raised a- sum of £40, and most ot it in small amounts, and this will be handed over to tho Hospital Board, and will carry tho Government subsidy of 24s for every £1 collected. The Management Committee of tho Institute at its last meeting oxpressod appreciation of the fine spirit shown by the boys. With the amount already in hand, it is hoped to purchaso si billiard table as well as tho piano, and if any friends of the Institute wish to supplement the efforts of tho boys, donations may bo forwarded to the Director, Mr. J."W. Butler, or the bandmaster, Mr. A. Iremongor.
