SYDNEY, This Day. A deputation asked Mr. M'Tiernan, Attorney-General, that the Government should recoup Dr. Thompson, who" incurred expenditure exceeding £700 in his efforts to secure tho release of Mrs. Faorr. The Minister replied that Mrs. Fa.ir was a wealthy woman, with an estates worth £13,000. Her obvious course was to reimburse Dr. Thompson for Uio coots incurred on her behalf.
