NEW GERMAN COMPANIES
BUILDING UP A MERCANTILE .FLEET (UNITED MESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN - NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received July 20, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, 19th July. The Petit Parisien's correspondent at Hamburg states that two navigation companies have been formed in the past year, the Stinnes Society and the Ger-man-Australian Company. The Stinnes Company already has built three ships, the Tirpitz, Ludendorff, and Stonkarr, Six more similar^ ones are to be built before the end of the year.
The- Germany-Australian Company has four vessels in commission of .between 6000 and 12,000 tons, and four more are building.
German companies are negotiating with Danish and Norwegian builders to supply a large number of vessels, which will trade under the German flag.
