In- the. House of Commons Mr. Balfour, replying to a question, said he did not think it necessary to make representations to the League of Nations in favour of suspending activities regarding disarmament and the Pacific. The League would doubtless, when dealing with disarmament, have regard for the importance of the Washington conference.
