Miss Vera James, who plays the leading part in the latest successful Australian picture, entitled "A Girl of tha Bush," which recently scored a big success in Sydney and Dunedin, is a daughter of Mr. W. F. James, of Dunedin, well known in sporting circles throughout, the Southland district.. Vera James went to Sydney about a _ year ago, and became prominent almost immediately in "A. Girl of the Bush." She takes the part of Lorna Denver, the young and pretty daughter of a rich station owner.. "A Girl of the Bush" is a love story enacted in Australia's outback. "A Girl of the Bush" will be screened at the Britannia Theatre next Friday, under the direction of that well-known theatrical manager, Mr. \V. A. Low.
