THE PARTRIDGE CASE

FURTHER MEDICAL- EVIDENCE.

(UNITBD PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIRIOHT.) SYDNEY, Sth July

The hearing of the claim of Miss Partridge (formerly Sister Ligouri) against Bishop Dwyer was continued to-day. Most of the day was occupied in the examination of witnesses with regard to plaintiff's sanity.

Dr. Binns said that after a, thorough examination of the plaintiff when she arrived in Sydney she impressed him as being a rather reserved, unsophisticated, mentally normal person. He expressed the opinion that her story»of attempted murder in the convent was a very exaggerated deduction for her to make, but it did not indicate insanity.

The Government Medical Officer, Dr. Gibbs, also gavo evidence that after having plaintiff under observation for five days in the yeception-house. he saw no traces of insanity.
