MILD SEASON AND GOOD PASTURAGE
The effect of the mild season so fw experienced in the Wairarapa is now very noticeable on the pastures throughout tho district, writes The Post's Mastorton correspondent. Tho grass is now coming away in great style. Tho exceptional mildness of the la-st few weeks has don© much to relievo farmers of a good deal of anxiety regarding winter feed, for many settlers in various parts of the district are wintering more stock than is usually the case afs> this time of the year. It is confidently expected that this exceptional mildness will have an encouraging effect-on the stock market, and it ia reported in that connection that a, good many farmers are holding their stock with that hope in .'lew. Whether their expectations will bo realised or not will probably be seen1 within tho next few weeks. ■ " •■ .
