There were no criminal cases' set down for hearing at the last' session of the Supreme Court on the West Coast. Mr. J. J. M'Grath (president of the West Coasters' Association of Wellington) has forwarded to the Mayor of Hokitika a telegram congratulating the district. A pair of white gloves is to be forwarded in due course to the Judge. It has been decided by the council of the New Zealand Golf Association that tho New Zealand championships will be held at Christchurch this year.. They will be commenced on 17th October. • A special musical service will be held in Wesley Church, Taranaki-street, to-mor-row evening. ,
