EXCHANGE OF INSPECTORS
-J^EW SCHEME STARTED.
The policy of the Education Departmentl is to encourage the exchange of teaclWs between the various Dominions, and already Canadian teachers aro in New Zealand as the result of having mado exchanges with New Zealand teachers, "who are'now filling th© for(niers' positions in Canada. The system is being extended. "I have consented," said the Hon. C. J. Parr, "to one of our school inspectors, Mr. N. R. MJKenzie, an experienced man, making a temporary exchange^ with an inspector of schools in Vancouver, Canada, Mr. T. A. Brough, B.A. The exchange will be for one year. Mr. Brough's salary is 3600 ,dollars per annum, but he has consented to come to New Zealand at the'money salary, here. I think it all to the good that we should encourage these exchanges. This one has the added benefit, in these hard times, that it involves no extra expense to my department."
