THE KING IN BELFAST
AN UNPARALLELLED RECEPTION
NORTHERN PARLIAMENT ADJOURNED.
LONDON, 23rd June. On their return from Belfast, where they attended the opening of the North Ireland Parliament. Their Majesties were enihusiactically welcomed at Euston Station. The King, describing his visit to Belfast, toW Mr. Lloyd George : "I have never had such a warm and remarkablo reception in any part of the Empire." At a meeting of the Ulster Senate, Lord Fitzalan read a message from the King, stating that, after various Departments were in >v<srlring order, an. earnest endeavour ■would be made to develop the resources of Northern Ireland, to develop its export trade, to remodel the. education system, and to amend the licensing laws. •After the Address-in-Reply had been carried, both Houses adjourned till ~ 19th September.
