WATERSIDE WORKERS' BAND.
What to be one of tjie bast .recitals given for some time will be offered at the Grand Opera Houm tomorrow evening by tbe Waterside Workers' Band. The band's Sunday nigjht concerts have been warmly appreciated, and careful preparation* have been made to maintain the band's reputation. The band has been fortunate in securing two Australian artist*.. of note, Mi6s Gwen Lester, a brilliant soprano, «Mid Mr. Leslie Jephoott (tenor), who is appearing by the kind permission of the management' of King's Theatre. His voioo is mellow, rich, and even, and those qualities, oombinsrf with a striking- personality, make him at once a favourite. In addition fo the above artists, the boy baritone, Master W. J. Sutcliffe, who hae sung at several1 of the leading concerte throughout the Dominion, and -received' excellent "pressi notices, will also appear. ' Mr. FranJr Crowtiier will be at the piano.. Th# band items will include the overture, "1001, Nights," intermezzo "Russe," selection "Toreador," and the march** "Half and Half" and "801 l Away Bet.">
