CONCERT AT KILBIRNIE
A very successful concert was held in the Kilbirnie , Hall to '. raise funds for the purchase of a new piano for the now Infant School at Kilbirnie. The hall was packed and recalls were the order of tho evening. An ' excellent programme was rendered by the Kilbirnie Orchestra- (under the baton of Mr. H. Cummins), the Misses Fay Smyth, Abbott, Harper, and D. Clarke, Messrs. J. S. Connell, Lionel Inch, S. Allrig'ht, J. Thompson, Norman Aitken, and the Waiata Quartette. The Morris chair presented for competition by' J. G. Marshall,, Ltd., was won by Miss Benzoni. . During the evening the chairman made a presentation of prizes to Brenda Barrett and A. M'Whannel for selling the most tickets.
