An indication of the widespread influence of the New Zealand Eeturned Sol-, diers' Association is given by the fact that an application has been' received from.the Cook Islands, from a body of . men who served in the great war, asking that they should be affiliated with the N.Z.R.S.A. or attached as a sub-branch to one of the district associations in the Dominion. The executive of the association decided that the applicants should be attached to the Auckland association. Mr. Corrigan, who has been teller at the Bank of New Zealand, Otaki, for some time, has received notice of trans- < for to Carterton. The Artillery Band will'play selockioai at Oriental B»y to-morrow afternoon.
