SESSSIONS AT NEW PLYMOUTH
NEW/PLYMOUTH; lOfch May. The Supreme Oourt sessions opened' to-day.
Prisoners who came up for sentence were dealt with as follow :—William A. E. Atldnson (forgery and littering at Hawera) was admitted to probation for three years, and ordered to repay moneys totalling £65; Jack Austin! (false pretences at Inglewood) was admitted to two years' probation, on condition) he took a prohibition order andl repaid) £36, which he had received; Ste-ron James (incest at Inglewood, two charges) was sentenced, to three years' Tefonnative treatment in .each count,, the sentences to be concurrent; Raymond: Sheaves (theft and attempted burglary at Eltham), and who absconded from tho Weraioa Tanning Farm, was sentenced to three years' reformative treatment; Les Wilmott (theft of a postal pocke-t at Hawera) was admitted to probation: for two years.
In the cases for trial, the Grand' Jury returned truo bills against William Webberly (alleged incest) and1 Stuart J. D. Russell) alleged" in -decent assault). Webberiy's trial was adjourned tin next session, and the hearing of the other case is proceeding.
