HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
The Hutt County Council continued ite meeting- yesterday afternoon. Councillor J, Barclay presided. Tho inspector reported that metal had been put on tho Mangaroa, Wallacevillc,1 and Whiteman's Valiey. roads., Tho Horo-kiwi-road was also being repaired. On account of the narrowness of the road at the railway crossing, tho inspector suggested that application be made t0...th0 railway authorities for a, 66ft crossing south of tho Waikanao bridge. Tm'a would greatly minimise the danger at. tho crossing. The engineer stated that during the month 830 yards of metal had. been put through the crusher; tho total cost of quarrying and crushing, the metal was 9|d a yard.
