Mr. W. I. Richards presided at a meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Hockey Association last evening. It was decided to submit the following remit to the New Zealand Association:—"That, with regard to the playing of representative shield matches, no team should have the right to play more than one match in a season, except the holders, but in the event of the holders being 'defeated, they should not have theright to a challenge in the current season." A discussion took place regarding-the holding of a six-a-side tournament on 3rd June. It was decided to call for entries and to proceed with the tournament if sufficient entries were received. A challenge is to be entered for the Cumming's Junior Cup, at present held by the Canterbury Association.
