The B.M.S. Makura is to leave' Sydney on the sth May for Auckland. She is announced to sail from Auckland on the 10th May for Vancouver, via Pacific ports.

MANUKA'S t FINE VOYAGE,

The Union Company's intercolonial passenger steamer Manuka, from Sydney direct, arrived at Wellington at 7 o'clock this morning and berthed at 9.35 a.m. at the Queen's Wharf The Manuka left Sydney at ll\a.m. on Thursday, and ,had an , exceptionally good trip. Fine weather, witi light winds, 6mooth seas, and Jblue skies was experienced throughout the voyage. As it was, the Manuka arrived several hours before scheduled time. The Ulimaroa, en route from Wellington to Sydney, was passed at 9 a.m. on. Saturday morning. ' The Kittawa, due here to-day with coal from Greymonth, is later to proceed to Lyttelton to complete discharge of her cargo. The Katoo was to leave Dunedin to-day for Lyttelton and Wellington. , She is doe here on Wednesday, and will sail the same day with cargo (or Auckland. A load of coal is due in Wellington on Thursday by the Kaur! from; Newcastle. The Komata is ttt present undergoing overhaul on the Wellington Patent Slip. Her run will be taken over by the Kaitoa, sailing from Wellington on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The Nikan will be out of the' service for about ten days. A radio message received from the S. S. and A. liner Mahia, en route from Cardiff to New Zealand with a load'of coal, states that she will arrive at Port Chalmers tomorrow morning. , . , ; V . The TJnion.
