FIRE AT M.P.'S RESIDENCE
MR. J. VIGOR BROWN A HEAVY LOSER.
(It fiLEQJUPII.—PRISB ASSOCIATION.) - NAPIER-, This Day. TKe summer lesidenco of Mr. J. Vigor Brown, M.P.,' was partly destroyed by fire this morning. The billiard-room, containing hundreds of trophies, paintings, and souvenirs, was included in the portion destroyed. The residence is situated on the borders of the Inner Harbour, and was said to be one of the finest homes of its kind in New Zealand. It was lately leased to His Excellency the Governor-General, whose children, resided there for (several weeks. Tho insurance total £2V33, all in the Phoenix Offlcs.
