LONDON, 29th April. Owing to the fact that no extra trains weTe run to vNewmarket, many thousands proceeded to the races by motor vehicles. The trek began yesterday. The King motored over last evening. The road to Newmarket was crowded

with vehicles of all descriptions from an

early hour to-day. In the space of 10 » minutes six hundred caTs, char-a-bancs, army lorries, and motor-cyclesl were counted. This morning even an ambulance was employed to carry racegoers.
