WELLINGTON VALUATIONS

It is now a week since the expiry of the time within which objeotions to the recent revaluation of Wellington City and suburbs might be lodged, and an idea ia obtainable of the nature and number of the objection^. There are two groups of organised or general objections, from Cuba-streafc property-owners and from occupiers of leases on the reclaimed land. Other objections are not numerous; in fact, not as numerous as when the last revaluation was made in 1913. What have been lodged relate mostly to the business portion of the city. From the residential areas thore^are very few.
