The Chicago Tribune's correspondent at Buenos Aires states that German capitalists ?re bringing their funds to Argentina in order to escape the taxation resulting from the German reparations and other post-war indebtedness. They are trying to capitalise tho textile industry, although npw they are mainly depositing large funds in the local banks at ordinary rates of interest, awaiting the reawakening,of Argentine industries from tha present industrial stringency. The Argentine Cons-il-General in Berlin lias reported that Germans are dismantling textile machinery in Saxony for removal to Argentina to such an extent that the authorities are contemplating placing an embargo on the action.
