The Daily Chronicle's correspondent at Venna states that Herr Stinnes's syndicate has purchased 200,000 out of half a million shares in the Alpine Montan Gessellsch&ft, Austria's giant iron ore company, from thd Italian Fiat Company. The Fiat CompaTiy purchased a quarter of a million shares in 1919, but was unable to supply coke for the blast furnaces, so now it was forced to Tesel'l to tlie Stinnes group. The starting of the Alpine furnaces on full production is of the utmost importance to Austria/.
