LONDON MARKETS

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received the following cablegram from its London house under date 16th inst. : —

"Tallow.—We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, £1 19s 6d per cwt; good beef, £1 16s per cwt. ; mixed, £1 10s per cwt. Very small demand. "Cheese.-- There is. a good demand for coloured at £7 19s per cwt., but market is slow for white at £7 65."
