The staff of Messrs. Haydon and Lubransky, under favourable weather conditions, held their annual picnic at Day's Bay on Saturday.' Following is a list of the various events and winners :—Egg and Spoon Race (ladies) : Ist Miss L. Dick, 2nd Miss Townsend. lOCyds Handicap (men).: Ist T. Booker, 2nd J. Limner; Threading Needle: Miss V. Fitts and Mr. Lubransky. 16 Hops and 14yd6 Backward : Miss A. Lander Ist Miss E. Warcup 2. Unknown Distance Race : Miss Deslandes and Mr. Townsend. Potato Race: Ist T. Booker, 2nd R. Usmar. Cigarette Race : Miss J. Grant and. Mr. R. Usmar. 220 yds Hurdles: Ist T Booker, 2nd E. Griffin. Three-legged Race : Miss A. Grant and Mr J Lunmer. Ladies' 50yds : Ist Miss E. Warcup, 2nd E. Orr. Girls (under 11 yeans) : Ist R. Lubransky, 2nd M. Deslandes. Boys (under 11 years) : Ist C Johnßtone, 2nd A. Johnstone. Boys (under 8 years) : Ist L. Lubransky, 2nd Tommy Rowell.
Mts. Lubraasky, at the conclusion, presented the prizes to the winners.
