There was fine warm weather for the fourth day of the Victoria Racing Club's Autumn Meeting. The attendance was fair and the going was good. _ Sunburst was always prominent, and won the Hopeful Stakes comfortably in record race time.
Eurythinic won the King's Plate easily, and had a great reception. This is Eurythmic's fifteenth win out of sixteen starts. Eurythmic, who goes to Sydney on Tuesday, has now won £16,699 in stakes. He ran the last mile in lmin '•40seo. Results:— Hopeful Stakes, a sweepstakes of 4 sovb each, with 400 soys added; five furlongs.—Sunburst, by Bernard—Rose of Glen, 7.8, 1; Sylosen, 7.10, 2; Black Adder, 7.10, 3. Twenty-four started. Won by two lengths, with a, neck between, second and third. Time, lmin Jseo. Gibson Carmiehael Stakes, a handicap sweepstakes of 6 soys, with • 600 soys added; seven, furlongs.—Wyndham, by Montecello—Patrimony, 8.5, 1; Vinchilla, 7.9, 2; Salatis, 8.13, 3. Won by one length and a-quarter; third horse half a neck away. Time, lmin 28Jsec. The King's Plate, a sweepstakes of 10 soys each, with 1500 soys added. Two miles. Eurythmic, by Endoius—Bob Cherry, 9.0 (F. Dempsey) ..... . 1 Nautical, 9.0. 2 Elfacre, 9.0 3 : Star Comedian was the only other starter. Eurythmio went to the front below the distance, and won easily by three lengths; third hone fifteen lengths back. Time, 3min 291 sec. Northcote Handicap, a sweepstakes of 5 soys each, with 500 soys added; one mile and a-half.—Toison dOr, by Santoi —Methymn*, 7.2, 1; Paratoo, 7.2, 2; | Miss Pinkerton, 8.2, 3. Nine started. Won by three-quarters of a length; third horse three lengths away. Time, 2min 34sec. Autumn Steeplechase, a handicap sweepstakes of 5 soys each, with 600 sovu added; about three miles and a furlong.— Grand Fleet, by St. Alwyne—Latchkey, 12.2, 1; Hobgoblin, 11.0, 2; Tararu Jack, 11.13, 3. Six started. Athlone baulked. Won by four lengths; third horse seven lengths back. Time, 6mirt 25^sec. Farewell Handicap, a sweepstakes of 5 soys each, with 500 soys added; one mile.—Blue Cross, by Linacre—Lady in Blue, 9.7, 1; Yacamunda, 6.13, 2; Belgium Waif, 6.12, 3. Eleven started. Won by three-quarters of a length; a short head between second and third. Time, lmin 39isec.-
