SPORTS GROUNDS AT THE HUTT
The chairman of the Wellington Hockey Association desires to contradict tho statement made nt tho recent meeting of the Rugby Union that tho Hutt Recreation Ground had been let to the Hockey Association for; the use of town players. He says:— "There are in the^Hutt a large number of^hockey players, both men and ladies, jjvho for years have had to travel to town and then to Karori Park to play, and the association has secured the Hutt Reoreation Ground in order that these players will be ablo to play a large proportion of their games at home. Tho tender of tho Hockey Association stipulates that at least one ground shajl be occupied by a homo men's team every Saturday, but it is the intention of the assqeintion to allot the whole of the grounds to matches with home teams on most Saturdays."
