M.P.'s TOUR

PARTY BREAKS UP.

WAIROA, This Day. The Parliamentary party visited tho Lake yesterday afternoon, a launch being reserved for them only. The party wero loud in their praise of the beauties of the lake and the surrounding scenery. What struck them most was tire immensity of the water supplies for hydro-electric purposes; and the apparent cheapness of its development as a rational source of' supply for the North Island. Laet evening they received Maori deputations on various questions affecting the tribes of the district, this being followed by a concert, interspersed with speeches by prominent visitors, who spoke enthusiastically of their reception, and incidentally gave great praise to Mr. W. D. Lysnar; M.P., for his directorship. of the whole" tour from start to finish.

The official photographer took several thousand pictures during the tour, in-, eluding a large number of the lake. ./■ The party returned to town shoitly before noon. They have, now split up, for the purpose, of returning to 'their Homes—some going south, some north.
