MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court to-day. An unusual number of inebriai^ were dealt with, including nine first offenders, who were each lined 5s or 10s, according as they appeared 'to answer their bail or not.
Jean Kellegjier, Timothy Brady, Charles Herbert Shaw,\ William Woods, and Duncan Mercer, who had been previously convicted of "drunkenness, were each fined 20s.
Edgar P. Richards, a second offender;' was fined 10aj Thomas J. Thompson a like amount on a charge of drunkenness and 20s for breaking his prohibition order. Frances C. Gallagher was fined 5s for drunkenness and 10s for having used indecent language in Tory-street.
