TO-DAY'S PLAY

The pairs competition of. the Dominion Association tournament was continued this morning on the Wellington Club's Green, which was keen and in first-rlass condition. The weather again was ideal. Interest in the tournament has to someextent waned, owing t<> the departure of many .-visiting bowlers who were beaten in the earlier stages. This morning there were 18 pairs left in the pairs competition. It is expected that as the result of the eliminating game to-day, the, finals will be completed to-night. Potter (Wellington) and Walker (Ponsonby) met at 8.30 a.m. to see which should be eligible for this morning's round. Eleven neads were played, and Potter won by 9-7. . The other eight games started at 9.30 o'clock. The results of the first round wcrt as follows: —
