A NEW BOROUGH PROPOSED

Tho finding of Messrs. F. K. Hunt, S.M., G. H. M. M'Clure, and F. N*Martin, the Commission set up to consider the proposal of forming Otaki into a borough, is as follows: — . ■ ■

''After hearing evidence for the petitioners and objectors and carefully going over the district and viewing the proposed boundaries, wo have come to the conclusion that a considerable proportions of the area proposed to be included in ttio borough is not suitable for municipal control. We recommend that a borough be constituted in lieu, of the present town, district, taking in' a part of the area suggested. .

"This materially increases the area of the present town district, and we consider the proposed borough suitable for municipal control."
