RACING DAYS
THE GAMING ACT AMENDMENT BILL. (BT TBLBGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, 13th October. The New Zealand Trotting Association decided to-da-y :—"That a hearty vote of thanks be accorded to Mr. George Hunter, M.P., for his great effort to provide additional racing days, and the association trusts that, with the assistance of the overwhelming majority of members of Parliament, as disclosed by divisions on the Gaining Bill No. 2, ho will be successful in securing immedate justice for the sport' of tTotting, country racing, and hunt clubs." In submitting the motion, Mr. R. Armstrong (North Island representative on the board) said he had been in the House during the whole- discussion on Mr. Hunter's Bill, and after carofully weighing the position he felt convinced that justice would bo t done to the sport.
