The Masterton races are being held in fine weather. There is a large attendance, and the course is in good order. Results :—
Trial Stakes, of 130 soys; five furlongs.—Diinedin, 8.5, 1; Melting Moments, 8.5, 2; Shamrock, 8.5, 3. Scratched : Sandy M'Donald, OrJc Rose, Pendant Lad, Lady Ellnia. Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 2 2-ssec.
Jumpers' Handicap, of 150 soys; lg miles. —Gladful, 10.5, 1; Revocation, 9.7, 2; Mill o' Govvrie, 10.13, 3. Scratched : Master Boris. Won by three lengths. Time, 2min 15isec. Flying Handicap, of 300 soys; six furlongs.—Lucullan, '7.7, 1; Miss Gold, 8.5, 2; Tigritya, 8.11, 3. Scratched. Buddy. Won by a head, half a length between second and third.
Lawn Handicap, of 200 soys; one mile. —Bitters, 8.3, 1; Admiration, 6.12, 2; Miss Maid, 9.5, 3. Scratched : La Paloma. Won by a nose. Time, lmin 44 see.
