IRELAND-NEWFOUNDLAND CABLE
NEW YORK, 12th October.
The New York Tribune's London correspondent states that the British Government has offered to purchase the Ire-land-Newfoundland submarine cable, belonging to the United States Cable Company, which, is American controlled. It is stated that the price is three-quarters of a million pounds.
