LONDON, 12th October.
The military raided Professor Carrolan's house 'in Drumconda 'at 3 in the morning, looking for two youths. An affray resulted, and two military officers were killed, The professor was wounded in the neck.
(Received' October 13, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 12th October. A police lorry was ambushed near Rosoommon, and two men were killed, and three wounded.
LONDON, 12th October. A motor-lorry carrying ten soldieirs at Ballyoshane was held up by carts flung aoross the road. Sinn Feiners behind a high hedge opened fire, using bombs ajid revolvers. The skirmish continued for an hour. One soldier was killed' and six were wounded. Nevertheless the Tect managed to drive off the Sinn Fleiners, though outnumbered, . r
