A concert was given by the. New Zealand Variety Entertainers in X Store on Saturday nightj in aid of the Children's Picnic Fund of Te Aro School. The building was crowded, and as a result the fund will benefit considerably!
Mr/ Joseph Hill, a resident of KaiwaTra, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday suffering from injuries to his back. Mr. Hill is an emplcTpee in the local railway workshops, and was busy at his wnrk when a driving belt broke, and caught him in tho back. This morning he was reported to bo making- good progress. i
