EXTRA EDITION TREATY WITH JAPAN
DOMINION VIEWS
A STATEMENT CONTRADICTED.
A cable message published a few days ago was to-the following effect:—
"The New York World's London correspondent says it is stated in well-in-formed quarters that the British Dominions, before sending representatives to London to discuss the Anglo' Japanese, Treaty, will determine their joint policy and make their attitude known to the United .States, seeking to obtain America's point of view. It is believed that India proposes to raise the question of the exclusion of Indians from Empire ports." The Prime Minister (Right Hon. W. F. Massey) was asked by a Post reporter if this statement were correct. "I am quite certain," he replied, "that the representatives of the Dominions will not determine their joint policy or- make known their attitude on the very important questions that will come up for consideration prior to meeting the repre-, sentatives of the United Kingdom and India at the Conference."
