NELSON DAY

Complete arrangements have been made by the Wellington Navy League for I;hc annual Nelson Day celebrations on Thursday, 21st inst. The proceedings will take the form of a. Navy League children's welcome to Admiral of the Floet Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General, and Lady Jellicoe. The Mayor, Mr. J. P. Luke, President of the League, will preside. His Excellency will address tho Navy League- school members. Mr. Edward Newman, M.P., will deliver an address on the Royal Navy and Mercantile Marine, and the Prince's Choir of 1100 voices, under* the baton of Mr. < Robert Parker, will sing' "Rule Britannia" and other patriotic songs. Mr. Rishworfh wjll sins' the solos. Seats for the senior pupils of public ilnd private schools will be alloted in their order of application. An advertisement appears in this issue. \
