MARRIAGE LAWS
The following resolution was unanimous, ly passed at a meeting of the Council of the Wellington Provincial Christian Endeavour Union last week: "That this council, while believing that every Church has a right to teach its own docftrines in relation to marriage as a spiritual relationship, wishes to enter its emphatic protest against: (1) Tho promulgation of the No Tomerc Decree in . Now Zealand, and (2) ministers or members of any Church using insulting and socially harmful language about persons married by other than Roman Catholic priests, or in rhurches other than their own. It trusts that the Legislative Council and Parliament will pass such legislation as will protect and conservo th* interests of law-abiding subjects, in relation to this matter of legal marriages."
