AUCKLAND, 9th October.

At the conforenco of the Now Zealand Baptist Union to-day there was some discussion on making. an aggrcssivo effort. The matter was referred to the executive.

The financial statement showed that the year had closed with a credit of £151. The Homo Mission collections totalled £2214, self-denial receipts £597.- The sum of £657 was expended in aiding smaller churches ; £500 had been placed in the reserve fund of tho office guarantee fund, and £500 had boon spent in establishing an office in Wellington; £1321 had been received on account of the sustenteticn fund, of which £240 wa3 expended in subsidies to ministerial' stipends; £1000 had been placed on., fixed, deposit.
