COMPENSATION FOR VICTIMS

Compensation totalling £25,000 has been awarded for Republican outrages in South Donegal. Constable Roden, a native of Huntingdon, who was wounded at Upperchurch, in an ambush, was awarded £2800. The widow and children of Inspector Wilson, of Templemore, Mere granted £7300 compensation. Two Irish girls were awarded 5200 damages each, owing to Sinn Feiners cutting off their hair.
