LOWELL THOMAS SEASON.

Tho famous American world traveller, journalist, and raconteur, Lowell Thomas, is due to appear at the Grand Opera Housa on Saturday next for six nights only, under the direction of J. C. Williamson. Ltd. When he originally _ appeared in London at tho Covent Qardea ■Opera House it was intended that he should stay a month, but in view of the enormous popularity he achieved, both there and subsequently at the Royal Albert Hall and Queen's' Hall, it was found necessary for his manager to cancel, his entire American tour and keep in England. After his European tour, he.was engaged by J. C. Williamson, Ltd.. to appear in Australia, where he opened at tha Sydney Town Hall. His season in that city was phenomenally successful. It is stated',that every member c-f the Royal Family," every Cabinet * Minister, and every member of Parliament of note, together with all the officers and rank and.file of the Army who took part in thir Palestine and Arabian campaigns, have flocked to see {ho famous American writer and travelogue entertainer, ■who was so fortunate in being able to obtain'an inside story and exclusive pictures of "With the Anzacs in Palestine andi with Lawrence in Arabia." The box plans for the Wellington season will open at the Bristol on Wednesday morning. The first and only matinee will be given on Wednesday, 20th October.
