RACING PERMITS
The Prime Minister has agreed to give Mr. Hunter an opportunity on Monday eyening of moving the second reading of his Gaming Amendment Bill, to increase the number of racing permits available for country clubs. It is thought unlikely that the Bill will puss, for many members oppose an increase in permits until there is a reallocation of those now granted. Some of the opponents, also will adopt all means to delay the passage of the bill.
