SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.

The large audience of seafarers was most enthusiastic and insistent on encores from the band of performers, led by Mr. E. W. Burd last evening at the Sailors'.Friend Society Those who rendered items were : Mrs. Howan, MiEses Abbott, Recce, Wing, J. Lewis, R. Wing, M'Keon. and Messrs. Church, Edmonds, Evans, M'Gvath, Howard (Athenic), and W. Howard (Mahana). Miss, M'Keon was at the piano. The competitions again aroused much interest, the prizes going to the Mahar.r. and Athenic.
