APPEAL SENT TO THE KING
(SEWER'S TEIEQRAH.)
LONDON, 26th August. Mr. -Redmond Howard, nephew of the late Mr. John Redmond, has sent to His Majesty the King an appeal, begging for clemency for the Irishmen who *^c on the verge of death throiigh hungerstriking. The King has replied, assuring him that the appeal will receive immediate and careful attention.
