Wellington's two a-aihvay stations re-:-ceived mention from Mr. G. Mitchell (.Wellington South) yesterday in ■ the-. House of Representatives. A new stationhad been promised,, but it was long in coming. There was some reclamation to be done before they could'extend the railway yards so as to release the present Lambton site. ... .■''. . ,
Sir William Herries: "We submitted' plans to the Harbour Board months ago, and they have not been approved " Mr. Mitchell: "Thank you,, I wll follow that up." Mr. Luke: "They have been approved long ago by the Harbour Board, the City Council, and the Railway Department.'" Mr. WrH.. Field said that, as 'it appsared it would be years before "they got their new railway "station, the' Government should hot continue to dump passengers down at Thorndon, but should bring them to Lambtbn. .
