HOSPITAL BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Wellingl ton 'Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was' held .-yesterday afternoon, Mr. F. Castls (chairman) presiding. . Accounts amounting to £6309 were passed for payment. ' The Finance Committee reported, inter alia, that the Wellington Education Board accepts the offer to purchase lots 10 and 16, Clifton-terrace, at the prices stipulated (£4403 and £2052 respectively) subject, to the condition that ' the I Government provides 'the money ancl passes the necessary enabling legislation. That the proposed establishment of the vNew Zealand Hospital Officers' Association be approved.. i The Hospital Committee recommended :—That Dr. E. H. N. Luke be appointed house surgeon on the resident me&ical->staff and Nurse Judge be promoted to sister on, the nursing staff. That arrangements be made with the bandmasters of, the various local bands to have a roster prepared, if suitable >to them, with a view to having at least one ..performance given specially by each band on Sunday afternoons during the year.. The band concerts are much appreciated: by the inmates and tlie visitors, whose donations are subsidised by the Government. ■
