HARBOUR BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Harbour Board was held last night, the chairman (Mr. J. G. Bareness) presiding. Tho bank pass books showed: Current account, credit balance. £64,824 2s; Imprest account, credit balance, £5013 16s 6d: on fixed deposit, £110,000.
Payments: For interest, sinking fund, accounts, claims, and wages, £36,723 8s 7d; for progress payment on contract, £574 \ 16s sd; for salaries for August, £1581 0s 4d., Total, £33,879 5s- 4d.
The Wharves and Accounts Committee recommended the board: (1) To approve the engineer's plans for conorete breastwork at northern end of Waterloo-quay reclamation parallel with Aotea-quay. * (2) To adopt tho engineer's plans for a. shelter shed for waterside workers atjClyde-qua-j7 Wharf, and to authorise- him to procoed with the construction of tho work.
The report was adopted, and it was <Je. cided to call for tenders for the proposed reclamation.
