ARBITRATION COURT
AWARDS FILED.
A new award has been filed by the Arbitration Couri in the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners' dispute (Wairarapa district). It provides for a standard 44-hour week of five days of eight hours and four i horn's on the fiixth day; a minimum wage for journeymen of 2s per hour, plus 3d bonus; special rates for special work, _ such as demolition of buildings; overtime and apprentices' pay-from 15s per week for the first year to £2 10s for the fifth, with Id per hour bonus. The airard is from 23rd August, 1920, to 24th May, 1922. . ■
An award in the Upholstreeses' section of the Wellington Furniture Trade has been filed on the lines of the agreement before the Conciliation Council, and, for the 'rest, the Auckland agreement and Cfcristchurch award.
