BIG- SLIP IN THE GORGE.

As a Tesult of a big fall of earth at thp entrance to tho magazine in the Kai■warra- Gorge, tho road between Kaiwarra and Ngaio is blocked. Many tons of earth camo down with tho slip, and the possibility of a further fall cannot bo disregarded. For that reason it has been found necessary to close the higher road which provides an alternative route to Ngaio. The scene of the slip was inspected .this morning by tho City Engineer (Mr. W. H.
