At the last meeting of the Board of Governors of Canterbury College, the appointment of the Rev. J K. Archer, M.A., as tutor to the Sydenham Workera' Educational Association's class in economics was referred back to the Collego Committee, on the ground that he was a strong propagandist on one side of the question. The matter came before the board again yesterday (states ? Press Association message), and the appointment was confirmed. The Chairman (Mr. H. D. Acland) remarked, in reply to opposition by Messrs.
